Fixed Income Strategies

Limited Volatility

Dana’s Limited Volatility Bond Strategy is short duration portfolio of governmental and investment grade fixed income securities. We believe a well-diversified investment portfolio should contain high quality fixed income allocation focused on preservation of principal, liquidity management and higher yields. Our active management focuses on individual bond characteristics to capitalize on relative valuation as opposed to predicting interest rate movements. Risk management is ongoing throughout the process focusing on client specific needs to deliver consistency of returns and reduce portfolio volatility. Managing high-quality, low risk fixed income portfolios for organizations with cash reserves has been one of Dana’s primary specialties. This approach is the basis for our Limited Volatility Strategy. Today the Strategy is used in asset allocations to dampen volatility and meet shorter term cash needs for hospitals, municipalities, universities, foundations and endowments. We seek to deliver maximum excess yield over other high quality, short duration investment options, while limiting downside risk through the use of governmental and investment grade fixed income securities.
